  • Where the investigations into U.S. President Donald Trump stand

I am not sure what "into the void" is supposed to mean when we are talking about the internet, but Trump's multiple tweets on the border received up to 123,000 likes, 29,000 retweets, and 49,000 comments.

Trump has even gone so far as to take his interpreter's notes at the end of one meeting, the Post reported, citing current and former us officials.

With the normal flow of information interrupted, the Post reported, administration officials have relied at times on intelligence agencies to glean information about Trump's meetings with Putin - by monitoring Russian officials' reactions to the meetings.

Speaking on the condition of anonymity, a White House spokesperson told the Post that the Trump's administration has attempted to "improve the relationship with Russia" after the Obama administration "pursued a flawed "reset" policy that sought engagement for the sake of engagement".

Trump continued attacking Comey saying that the "FBI was in complete turmoil" with Comey leading it. Trump even said that Comey "was a crooked cop".

That occurred after the President's 2017 meeting in Hamburg with Putin, which the Post noted was also attended by then-Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.

"We have learned from this reporting that, even in the earliest days of the Trump administration, the president's behaviour was so erratic and so concerning that the FBI felt compelled to do the unprecedented - open a counterintelligence investigation into a sitting president", Nadler said. "I do it with all countries".

He said he talked with Putin about Israel, among other subjects, adding: "Anyone could have listened to that meeting". Trump has taken unusual steps to keep their conversations under wraps, according to the newspaper. "I couldn't care less".

When asked by Pirro on Saturday about the Times' report and whether he had ever worked for Russia, Trump said, "I think it's the most insulting thing I've ever been asked".

Schiff said meetings, contacts and communications between Trump associates and Russians, as well as "the web of lies about those interactions, and the president's own statements and actions", have heightened the need to follow the evidence where it leads.

The investigation was launched after Trump fired FBI Director James Comey and then tied that action to Comey's handling of the Russian Federation probe. Bob Menendez, the ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, told CNN that he was planing to sit down with his counterpart in the House to discuss priorities.

Warner said the U.S. government still does not know what took place in Trump's meetings with Putin, including another in Helsinki last summer where Trump appeared to embrace Putin's claim, rejected by U.S. intelligence, that his country had nothing to do with an interference effort in the 2016 election.

Later, at the same G-20 summit, Trump and Putin spoke at a banquet with only Putin's interpreter present. There was a translator so I'm sure she took notes down simultaneously in order to translate. Trump accused Federal Bureau of Investigation special counsel Bob Mueller and the Democrats of having "NO interest in going after the Real Collusion (and much more) by Crooked Hillary Clinton, her Campaign, and the Democratic National Committee".
