Twitter Rebuffs Rudy Giuliani's Claim That the Social Network Sabotaged Him

Giuliani, the former mayor of New York City, is working as a defense attorney for President Donald Trump, whose name was mentioned repeatedly in the memos released Tuesday evening.

That's pretty embarrassing by itself, but Giuliani made the error even worse Tuesday night when he blamed the hyperlink in Friday's tweet on Twitter, which he accused of allowing "someone to invade my text".

Basically what happened was that Giuliani's tweet had a typo in it, where he forgot to add an important space between two sentences.

Web designer and comic Jason Velazquez noticed the gaffe and pounced, purchasing the domain and posting a message: "Donald J. Trump is a traitor to our country".

This tweet just goes further to prove that Mr. Giuliani is illiterate when it comes to social media and the internet in general. Giuliani has served as President's Trump's lawyer, and also as his cybersecurity advisor.

Rudy Giuliani's original tweet with the typo and the link to the anti-Trump website has been shared over 16,000 times since it was published. Then a brilliant soul got hold of G-20.in and turned it into a page calling out the president (.in is the internet domain for Indian sites). But he tried to post a tweet with.rudygiuliani, for instance, it wouldn't create a link.

A Twitter spokesman says the company can't edit users' tweets and "the accusation that we're artificially injecting something into a tweet is completely false".

Michael Cohen, Donald Trump's former lawyer, is busy singing for his freedom to Robert Mueller and those involved with the Russian Federation investigation.

A number of people have suggested that Giuliani can simply delete the tweet with the offending link, but Velazquez said he doesn't think that will happen.

'That would mean that I forced him to delete it, ' he told The Post.

In August, he accidentally wrote "hate 'me" rather than "hate 'em" leading several users to respond that they were happy to comply. "It's a hilarious Catch-22".
