A video obtained by TMZ.com and published by the website Friday shows Chiefs running back and Cleveland native Kareem Hunt get into an altercation with a woman at the Metropolitan at the 9 located in downtown Cleveland.

The clip, which came from an OH hotel hallway camera, was published by TMZ on Friday afternoon.

After the video was made public, the Chiefs excused Hunt from the team facility and he is not expected to accompany the team to Oakland for the game there on Sunday. The man Hunt struck declined to press charges. Although friends of Hunt tried to intercede, Hunt shoved the woman once, knocked her over after knocking another man into her and then kicked her in the leg.

But a female friend of Hunt's claimed that the woman was acting belligerently and struck her.

On February 15, 2014, Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice punched his then-fiancee (now wife) Janay Palmer, in an Atlantic City hotel elevator.

Abigail Ottinger, 19, of Middleburg Heights, told police that Hunt assaulted her around 3:45 a.m. Saturday outside Hunt's hotel apartment, but another woman who was with Hunt's friends said that Ottinger assaulted her, police reports say. TMZ reports that prosecutors had access to the hotel surveillance video.

Cleveland police took statements in the incident, but did not charge Hunt. At the end of the night, Ottinger went back to Hunt's hotel.

There were two police reports filed from the incident with one listing Hunt as a suspect and another that listed the woman as the suspect.

The Chiefs organization has yet to comment. "I'm sure he learned some lessons this offseason and hopefully won't be in those kind of situations in the future".
