Tito Ortiz finally exacted some revenge against archrival Chuck Liddell in the inaugural main event for Golden Boy MMA on Saturday at The Forum in Inglewood, California, and he closed out "The Iceman" in vicious and unsettling fashion. Previously, Ortiz lost to Liddell by knockout on two occasions in the UFC.

Meanwhile, UFC legend Liddell last fought eight years ago and announced retirement from sports after suffering three consecutive knockout losses.

Ortiz struck Liddell several times why he was down on the mat before official Herb Dean quickly separated the two and called the fight.

That's when Ortiz blasted "The lceman" with a right hand to the chin and Liddell's eyes rolled back as he crumbled to the canvas.

Leading up to the fight, Liddell insisted that he wasn't coming back for a single fight, a single payday, but wanted to continue fighting. "There is nobody left I want to fight". "I got out there and I got caught". You pushed me so hard for all of these years and you made me work hard. I made a mistake and it is what it is.

“Im going to have to sit back and really think about whats next.”.

As for those previous comments from Liddell, Jon Jones claims that he will never again respond to a callout from the Iceman following Saturday night's loss. I don't know, I don't know what I'm going to do.

Heading into the third fight Ortiz feels he will have the upper hand, he last fought in 2017 with a submission win over Chael Sonnen at Bellator 170.
