CNN correspondent Jim Acosta was denied entry to the White House on Wednesday evening following a heated row with President Donald Trump, who called him a "rude, bad person" during a press conference.

"I came in here as a nice person wanting to answer questions, and I had people jumping out of their seats screaming questions at me", said Trump, who talked for almost 90 minutes despite the run-ins with reporters.

CNN said in a statement that the White House revoked Acosta's press pass out of "retaliation for his challenging questions" Wednesday, and the network accused Sanders of lying about Acosta's actions.

CNN and other White House reporters defended Acosta, saying there was nothing wrong with his questioning of Trump and that he did not inappropriately touch the assistant.

The president also ridiculed CNN White House correspondent Abby Phillip who asked Trump if he wants acting attorney general Matt Whitaker to "rein in" special counsel Robert Mueller. Acosta asked the USA leader about his claim that Central American migrants walking through Mexico toward the southern US border were "invading" the country. She gets publicity, and then she gets a pay raise or she gets a contract with, I think, CNN.

Abba Shapiro, a video production trainer, says he noted the anomalies in the video tweeted by White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders.

"Skilled journalists know that you can be persistent without being disrespectful".

Trump also called out April Ryan, a White House correspondent for American Urban Radio Networks and a CNN analyst.

Acosta's credentials were revoked on Thursday after a tense press conference on Wednesday, in which Trump dodged questions and lashed out at several journalists. A reporter might not like the president, but he or she should always respect the office.

An association representing the Washington press corps urged the White House to immediately reverse "this weak and misguided action".

"President Trump believes in a free press and expects and welcomes tough questions of him and his Administration", Sanders said in a statement. "And he does it for, you know, the reason-the same thing with April Ryan". "You shouldn't be working for CNN", he said. "This president seems not to like it, so therefore I'm a loser".

In a video which you can see below, Jim stands before Trump and refuses to give up the microphone while the next reporter in line tries to grab it.

Because the White House briefing room isn't the appropriate place to deliver commentary in the form of questions.

Even as Acosta is muttering these words, Trump begins to mock him: "Oh here we go". The decision came after months of tension between the two men and reports Tillerson had privately called Trump a "moron".
