Donald Trump’s Post-Midterm Behavior Is Out of Control, Even for Him

  • [VIDEO] Donald Trump, CNN's Jim Acosta Argue at Press Conference

United States President Donald Trump had a confrontational exchange with White House reporters on Wednesday during a news conference to discuss the results of Tuesday's election.

Trump showed why he rarely does these press conferences when his feet were held to the fire by reporters asking about racist rhetoric, Republicans losing the House, and the Russian Federation investigation (he called it a "hoax" despite our entire intelligence apparatus saying otherwise).

CNN's Jim Acosta took Trump to task, grilling the president on a recent campaign ad depicting a thousands-strong "caravan" of Central American migrants heading for the USA border as an "invasion".

Mr Acosta persevered in his attempt to question the president, but Mr Trump told him: "That's enough".

CNN reporter Jim Acosta, a frequent critic of the President, once again drew his ire when asking about the Russian Federation inquiry into possible 2016 election interference.

He said the investigation is a "hoax", before stepping away from the podium. The way you treat Sarah Huckabee is awful, and the way you treat other people is frightful.

President Trump also says he's happy with "most" of his Cabinet as he suggests changes may be coming.

He said that he thought it was probably better that Republicans haven't got a slight majority in the House, and instead the Democrats have the majority. Acosta is the guy who comes to the mic during a Q&A to make a rambling statement instead of ask a question.

Acosta again tried to badger Trump, and the president lost his cool, shouting "that's enough!" at the reporter.

In response, CNN said Trump's attacks on the press have gone too far. "I mean, I think she could have won that race, but she didn't want to have any embrace".

"Just sit down", Trump said. "You are a rude, bad person, and you shouldn't be working for CNN".

"I came in here as a nice person wanting to answer questions and I had people jumping out of their seats screaming questions at me", said Trump, who talked for almost 90 minutes despite the run-ins with reporters.

He also described CNN as "the enemy of the people". "If they're doing that, you can't do the other".

"To say that is so insulting to me", Mr. Trump told a NPR NewsHour reporter Yamiche Alcindo during a a press conference at the White House.

Trump noted that the Republicans were outspent but still managed to stave off a "blue wave" election. Trump's approval rating among African Americans is about on par with the numbers Ronald Reagan garnered during his first term where he polled at about 18 percent amid a recession and cuts to social programs.

"God plays a very big role in my life", Trump said.
