If the reports are to be believed, Samsung has already started working on its gaming-centric smartphone which will go in direct competition with the ones present in the market. This expansion of in-screen technologies, from a global technology firm, could allow for all sorts of new device form factors, especially if Samsung Display licenses out the technology to prospective buyers.

There isn't much information available about the smartphone, but there are chances that the recently leaked Galaxy A phone is the same device here in question. The device will have multiple internal storage options such as 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB.

The Samsung Galaxy A9 comes with a 6.3-inch OLED display. The "SDC Sensor Tech" combines four different elements to make sure there aren't any interruptions on the screen. The company is expected to unveil the gaming phone in November.

The South Korean technology giant, already has a support page for the device on its website, and the phone has received some important certifications in recent days.

The CEO of Samsung Mobile Division, DJ Koh, gave this away during an event where he also mentioned that even though this device has been delayed for a few years, the technology we have now will facilitate its release and we will be the happy owners of a foldable smartphone soon.

The company explained the display could hide several features which used to be placed on the notch.

The slide briefly describes an Under Panel Sensor, or UPS, that will likely house a camera (i.e. image sensor) in addition to other sensors.

For reference, Samsung has been working on in-display fingerprint scanner based on ultrasonic technology for years now but hasn't rolled it out yet because it wants it to be flawless, unlike other brands who would risk their rep on new technologies not tested for bugs and errors.

Now we know the reason why Samsung is so confident in its ability to criticize others, while not seeming like a hypocrite for potentially falling into the same "notch trap" in the future.
