Trump questions United Nations global warming report

When you read the IPCC report, you see that what the world really needs is visionary leadership. And for good reason.

If people don't act now, the report says, we will hit 1.5 C somewhere between 2030 and 2052. Miami will be particularly affected by sea-level rise; a study published a year ago in the journal Nature concluded that rising seas as a result of climate change could cause more than 2.5 million Miami residents to flee the city.

Worry about climate change might acknowledge that the United States is in the world, and must work with other nations. No one is spared. While both of them were defining pieces of news of our times, many missed the unmistakable and potent link between the two. "It only gets worse from here", he added. "If those most knowledgeable about the situation are also the most concerned, then it is time for the general public not just to start paying more attention but convert this concern and despair to action". "Each fraction of a degree that global temperatures rise is extremely risky".

The report highlights a number of climate change impacts that could be avoided by limiting global warming to 1.5ºC compared to 2ºC, or more.

Vietnam has actively implemented global commitments andmade efforts to cope with climate change.

"This includes increasing the level of support to developing countries to enable them to develop and lift their people out of poverty without going down a traditional, unsustainable development pathway".

Already, the global temperature - averaged between land and sea temperatures - has risen 1° Celsius, or 1.8° Fahrenheit, since 1880.

"This injustice must be addressed by the global community through the provision of support for dealing with loss and damage".

"It provides hope. While clearly indicating the gravity of the situation, it also tells us that it's still possible to cap the warming at 1.5 and, beyond previous reports, we now have specific information to make that case", Spence noted.

She remains hopeful the world will become a greener place and save humanity from a global disaster.

Under former Gov. Bill Richardson, the state of New Mexico undertook some climate initiatives, trying to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from industries and studying how the impacts of warming would affect resources and its communities. "There will a future for at least some of the coral reefs so intrinsic to our Pacific identities and economies". That may not sound like much, but look at the consequences we're already seeing: Stronger, slower, wetter tropical storms.

"Let us not dwell on 2˚C and above - for Pacific Islanders it is simply not an option".

Experts have voiced that Vietnam needs to become a demanding participant in global climate negotiations and actively make efforts to tackle climate change since the country is among the most heavily impacted by this negative phenomenon. The carbon dioxide humans were injecting into the atmosphere would cause changes, they wrote, that could be "deleterious from the point of view of human beings". At 2 C, everything from melting sea ice to droughts, famines and floods will be significantly worse than at 1.5 C, the report says.

He refers to women's suffrage and abolitionism as movements that were built on "countless individual choices" but not "behaviour and lifestyles changes of the kind we associate with checklists". It's in our hands, as a global family to do right.

She emphasized that the high-level dialogue is a unique and strategic opportunity to discuss opportunities to increase ambition and expedite transformation to achieve the Paris Agreement objective and Vietnam's climate change targets, in order to keep the impacts of climate change within manageable levels.

Have a safe Thursday Samoa, God bless!
