West dominated the conversation with a series of monologues that touched on social policy, mental health, endorsement deals and his support for the president.

West was impressed. "Day One, solved one of his biggest problems", the rapper said.

According to reports, Ye and Recording Academy president Neil Portnow will be in attendance when Trump sign the Music Modernization Act at the White House. "You make a Superman cape for me", he gushed at Trump, who was sitting with his desk between him and Kanye, and seemed happier for it.

President Trump typically isn't one to be upstaged - but that wasn't the case Thursday when rapper Kanye West launched into a monologue across from him in the Oval Office, leaving even Mr. Trump almost speechless.

While wearing his MAGA hat inside the Oval Office, Kanye first said he loves Hillary Clinton because "I love everyone, right?"

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced the meeting earlier this week, saying that "West is coming to the White House to have lunch with President Trump and he will also meet with Jared Kushner".

"Let's stop worrying about the future all we have is today".

"It's harder to govern", Melania Trump said in a clip that aired Thursday on "Good Morning America".

Apparently, when West was done speaking, Trump said, "That was pretty impressive. But I'm having dinner with him Wednesday night and I've been very happy with our relationship", Rorsted said.

The rapper, who has broken ranks with much of the left-leaning entertainment industry to come out in support of Trump, even said he could be president himself - but "only after" Trump in 2024. "I just channelled it". "I didn't want to put you in that position".

West is married to reality television star Kim Kardashian West, who pushed Trump to grant a pardon for a drug offender this year.

"We need prototypes so we can start working again", he said. The president said the session "was just set up to be a lunch of two people I like".
