Kandepi Pruthvi Raj, a 25-year old financial consultant from Andhra Pradesh's Guntur district who was killed after a gunman opened fire in a bank in Cincinnati in the United States on Thursday, was expected to return to India once his marriage was arranged, relatives said.

According to CBS News, 29-year-old Omar Enrique Santa Perez is allegedly caught on surveillance footage entering the Fifth Third Bancorp headquarters on Thursday morning and opening fire. According to the police report, the suspect had opened fire in the building's loading dock before continuing into the lobby area and firing more shots. Four officers shot at Perez, killing him, Isaac said.

Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley said the gunman had been "actively shooting innocent victims", the Associated Press reported. Police haven't released the name of the gunman, who was dead at the scene.

An officer's body-camera video shows him shooting into the glass about six times. At least two others have been injured. Thursday afternoon, the hospital shared an update that one patient had been upgraded to fair condition, while another was still in critical condition. A spokesman for the Gilbane Building Company said Newcomer was a superintendent for the last three years and was part of a project on the building's third floor.

"I know this Cathedral takes very seriously it's ministry to Cincinnati as a whole and is always ready to be a place where people can come for solace and prayer and to rededicate themselves to the service of Cincinnati and beyond", said Bishop Tom Breidenthal, Diocese of Southern Ohio.

Numerous people called 911, and four armed officers arrived at the center's exterior 55 seconds after the first call, Isaac said.

"I can't put into words how grief-stricken we are", Cotter said.

The gunman wasn't immediately identified, and police didn't comment on a possible motive. "And I'm thinking about how I can make a difference in the future", Austin said.

"I heard about eight gunshots, and I actually got on my knees".

Police seal off the area where a gunman killed three people on Thursday. He said one investigator said it could have been "a bloodbath beyond imagination". The Police Chief also said the shooter acted alone, and there is no further threat to the public.

Leonard Cain told The Cincinnati Enquirer he was going inside the bank when someone alerted him there was shooting. He did not hear the shots, he said, but he saw emergency responders wheeling out victims on stretchers.

A spokesperson from Fifth Third said the family is preparing its next steps and soon will let people know how they can help.

'She walked in the door and he shot her, ' the witness told Cincinnati newspaper The Enquirer.
