McDonalds poster prank goes viral

06 September, 2018, 21:13 | Author: Melinda Barton

The pair even bought a McDonald's uniform from a charity shop for seven dollars to help them execute the prank. They took a picture of themselves holding a McDonald's burger and fries, then added the logo and other features to make it look like the posters hung around the restaurant.

With the help of a couple of friends, the mission was complete and now nearly two months later, the poster is STILL UP. But when the moment came, they were ready and the poster went up without a hitch.

Well. the men realized there weren't any posters of people that represented Asian Americans.

Then they set out to ideal the photo, which needed a bit of doctoring.

His prank has since gone viral, with his Tweet of the initiative garnering 195,000 retweets and over 797,000 likes as of September 4.

What the future holds for the poster is a question only McDonald's can answer.

"I really hope they'll never take it down", he said in the video. "I was very, very nervous", Jevh said.

They took the poster to the McDonald's late one night where they met up with a group of friends.

On a YouTube video Maravilla posted in August after he first carried out the prank, he explained a little more about the motivation behind it.

"It is still up", Maravilla proudly told InsideEdition.com Tuesday. "I hope this can open the eyes to not just McDonald's, but other major companies can embrace different ethnicities", Maravilla told CNN. The best way to do this, they figured, was for Maravilla to disguise himself as a McDonald's employee. "We applaud these students" creativity and hope to see them in our restaurants again soon'.

The pranksters made a decision to post their adventure to Maravilla's YouTube page, where a vlog of their shenanigans has been viewed more than 500,000 times.
