If he fails to agree a new deal at the club, it is expected Ramsey will be leaving Arsenal this summer.

"To get an extended contract is an unbelievable feeling and I hope I'm doing the Arsenal family proud, as well as my family".

The 22-year-old joined the Gunners at the age of nine and broke into the team in 2015.

"It's not just myself and family, I represent the younger generation as well". There's always going to be pressure in football and it's always wonderful for young kids, especially at Hale End (where his shirt adorns the wall), to look up to me.

Lazio have developed a very efficient high pressing scheme under coach Simone Inzaghi, while Unai Emery has been an advocate of playing out from the back with his Arsenal side.

The news of Alex Iwobi signing a new deal might come as bad news to the Arsenal supporters who thought that Unai Emery was interested in Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele because he didn't trust the Nigerian worldwide but the youngster getting a new deal shows that he has support from the coach.

Pulse Sports first reported that Iwobi was expected to stay at Arsenal after sources close to the player revealed that he is highly rated by Emery. "So I'll try and continue making them proud".

"I'm excited. I enjoyed my time in Singapore and I'm enjoying training now and can't wait for the season to go ahead".

Iwobi has netted six worldwide goals in 20 games for Nigeria, representing them at the World Cup in Russian Federation, and said: "It's always been my childhood dream to represent Arsenal, from young, and to get an extended contract is an fantastic feeling and I hope I'm doing the Arsenal family proud as well as my family".

However, despite winning the Treble at PSG last season, Dickinson still thinks there are question marks over Emery, who left the Parc des Princes at the end of the previous campaign having spent two years in the French capital.
