Rudy Giuliani, President Donald Trump's personal lawyer, said Sunday that he's "close to determining" that the president will not give an interview to special counsel Robert Mueller as part of the Russian Federation investigation.

Cohen's home, office and a hotel room in NY were raided by the FBI in April as part of an investigation into his business dealings.

Giuliani, in an interview with CNN's Dana Bash on "State of the Union", also spoke about the latest preconditions he is demanding for an interview between the special counsel and President Donald Trump. "As long as he tells the truth, we're - we're - we're home free", Giuliani said. But Mr. Giuliani later struck a more combative stance, saying he should only agree to such a meeting if federal prosecutors made clear the role played by a suspected informant said to have approached Trump campaign aides.

Giuliani also repeated previous assertions that the Mueller investigation is biased.

Giuliani said in a separate interview on NBC's "Meet the Press" that they had "pretty much decided" where they were with regard to an interview.

"Mueller hired originally as his chief investigator a man that has some kind of vicious bias against Donald Trump", Giuliani said, referring to Strzok. "I would love to", the president said in May.

"I didn't say they have to prove a crime", Giuliani said.

On NBC's Meet the Press, Giuliani said he doesn't think Mueller, a former Federal Bureau of Investigation director, is personally biased or corrupt, but that "he's surrounded by biased people" he failed to vet properly, including Federal Bureau of Investigation agent Peter Strzok, whose anti-Trump text exchanges from 2016 fed Republican allegations of bias.

Following reports last week that Giuliani said he wants the special counsel Robert Mueller to show a "factual basis" before Trump agrees to testify under oath, Giuliani upheld his suspicion of the investigation's roots.

"It's our firm belief, and we think nothing contradicts this, the president did nothing wrong", he said. Cohen gave an interview to ABC last week in which he signaled he might be willing to cooperate.

Petrillo did not immediately respond to a request for comment. It was the first in a series of conversations that Comey documented in writing, something Trump lawyers say he did with the ultimate goal of harming the president.

"Simply accepting the denial of Mr. Putin is unsustainable", Cohen said.

Giuliani told ABC, "We've been through everything on collusion and obstruction". "I respect our nation's intelligence agencies' ... unanimous conclusions".
