Former Defense Secretary under President Barack Obama Leon Panetta says President Trump shouldn't give anything to North Korea until he sees what steps they are prepared to take to denuclearize. South Korean President Moon Jae-in held a ground-breaking meeting with Kim at the end of April, when they agreed to stop all hostile acts and pledged to achieve "a nuclear-free Korean peninsula through complete denuclearization", without specifying how it will be done. "So, I think the rhetoric - I hated to do it, sometimes I felt foolish doing it - but we had no choice", he told Hannity.

It was signed by Trump and Kim shortly after they met privately and with their respective administrations, with the paperwork stipulating that Kim has 'reaffirmed his firm and unwavering commitment to complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula'. It was brutal. But a lot of people started to focus on what was going on, including North Korea.

"The president praised his North Korean counterpart after the summit, referring to Kim as a "talented man" who loves his country very much".

The summit is not expected to last beyond Tuesday, with both leaders set to leave Singapore shortly after concluding their meetings.

But Trump refused to endorse a communique at the G7 summit over the weekend that said participants were "guided by our shared values of freedom, democracy, the rule of law and respect for human rights and our commitment to promote a rules-based worldwide order".

Trump appeared to sidestep a question about him calling Kim "talented" given North Korea's humanitarian record and human rights violations by crediting Warmbier's death for bringing the two world leaders together. Trump described the destruction of the site as a "big thing". One thing that surprised me is that there was nothing in the joint statement or comments about how to really move forward with reducing tensions and normalizing relations, such as setting up liaison offices in each other's' capitals or hotline between the two militaries and so on.

"The relevant resolutions passed by the UN Security Council stipulate that ... adjustment to the sanctions has to be made in accordance with the situation on how North Korea has implemented the agreement - including suspending or removing relevant sanctions measures", Geng said.

In follow-up talks on the establishment of new relations, the USA and North Korea will likely hold discussions on ending hostilities. He had a lot to do with us being here today, ' Trump added. 2015 numbers went down slightly, to 75%, but it was still the most widely supported strategy, just above "impose tighter economic sanctions on North Korea", at 70% support.
