Kim Jong Un has reportedly taken his own toilet to the Singapore summit where he is due to have nuclear talks with Donald Trump.

Trump landed in Singapore a little after 8:30 p.m. local time for the highly-anticipated meeting with the North Korean leader, which is set to take place on Tuesday.

Trump will meet Tuesday morning with Kim, with only translators present.

The relative speed with which the state media got the news of Mr Kim's arrival in Singapore out to the North Korean public suggested a certain level of confidence the meeting would go well - or at least well enough.

"He is willing to offer his support for his friends, President Trump and Marshall Kim Jong Un", Prince said.

On the eve of the summit, Trump stayed in his hotel but Kim chose to take a sightseeing tour of Singapore's hot spots, visiting botanical gardens at Gardens by the Bay and posing for a selfie before making a stop at Singapore's iconic three-tower Marina Bay Sands hotel.

The US has publicly said it wanted North Korea to end its nuclear program in return for an economic boost.

After the meetings, the two teams and other senior officials met for a working lunch, where beef short ribs, sweet and sour pork and "Daegu Jormin", or Korean braised cod, were served for the main course, according to the menu.

"We will all know soon whether or not a real deal, unlike those of the past, can happen!" he wrote.

It's a surreal image: Dennis Rodman, standing in Singapore, wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat and sunglasses, giving an interview through tears as he cheers for President Donald Trump.

Turns out, North Korea's Dear Leader is not staying at the Fullerton Hotel as initially posited by The Washington Post. Trump left that summit early and, as he flew to Singapore, tweeted that he was yanking the US out of the group's traditional closing statement.

Choe, a vice foreign minister, is the highest-level female diplomat in North Korea.

The United States delegation at tomorrow's expanded bilateral meeting will include Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Chief of Staff John Kelly, and National Security Advisor John Bolton. Just meeting with Trump will also give Kim recognition as the leader of a "normal" country and as an equal of the United States leader. Trump responded to that criticism Tuesday on Twitter, saying: "The fact that I am having a meeting is a major loss for the USA, say the haters & losers". In some instances, past deals struck by previous US administrations with North Korea paused - but failed to roll back - North Korea's program, which has only grown over the years. Trump tweeted earlier in the day. Lee has said the summit would cost Singapore about S$20 million ($15 million), more than half of which would go on security.
