07 June, 2018, 06:58 | Author: Lydia Fleming
  • Tetris Effect REVEALED PS4 E3 2018 begins with new game from Rez and Lumines creators

The core of the game is still Tetris-one of the most popular puzzle games of all time-but like you've never seen it, or heard it, or felt it before.

Enhance Games will be using its considerable knowledge of light and sound to create an experience where the music, backgrounds, sounds, special effects - basically everything - even down to the Tetris pieces themselves, pulse, dance, shimmer, and explode in ideal sync with how the videogame is played. The audio, background elements, special effects and even the Tetris pieces themselves dance, pulse, shimmer and explode in flawless sync based on how you are playing.

Tetris Effect is coming to PS4 in fall 2018. The game will apparently feature over 30 different stages, each with its own music, sound effects, graphical style, and background that evolve as you play through them. But this isn't quite like any Tetris game you've ever played before. He then went on to confirm that Tetris Effect runs at 4K in 60fps on the PS4 Pro and is playable in full HD on the PS4.

Sid Shuman who announced the game said that this countdown is PlayStation's way of trying something new.

There will also be fan-favorite modes like Marathon, Sprint, and Ultra, and a player grading and leveling system as well as variable difficulty to encourage and reward replayability.

By now, you're probably well-aware of what Tetris gameplay entails; it's not the most complicated of games (though it is very addicting). Or, even better, PS VR. It's the new "Zone" mechanic which allows you to stop time and plan your next move without the stress or anxiety caused by rapidly falling pieces.
