WWE's Kane Wins The Republican Primary In Tennessee Mayoral Race: Reliable Source

WKRN reports Glenn Jacobs, who was the storyline brother of The Undertaker in the ring, won the GOP race by 17 votes, with all precincts reporting.

Best known as WWE superstar Kane, Jacobs can not officially be declared the victor until next week, because the Knox County Election Commission said there are 43 provisional ballots that still need to be counted.

Knox County, which includes the city of Knoxville, is Tennessee's third-largest county by population.

Jacobs will now run against Democrat Linda Haney in August's mayoral election once the results are confirmed later this month.


Jacobs captured 14,633 votes to Anders' 14,616 votes, or 36.09 percent of the vote to Anders' 36.05 percent.

The victor will move forward to take on Democratic candidate Linda Haney in the General election in August.
