  • LG to launch G7 ThinQ smartphone in May

Having said that, the lockscreen of the G7 ThinQ has the date set to May 30 which means LG will either launch this smartphone on May 30, or will start its sale on this date. Some users may be dismayed with the popularity of the notch, but at least the one on the G7 ThinQ is smaller than what's found on the iPhone X. Despite its smaller size, the notch on the G7 will house the front-facing camera and the earpiece speaker.

No spec details or images of the LG G7 ThinQ have been shared by LG, but the company does confirm that the phone will include AI features and that it "enhances the ability to interact with other devices", according to the translated announcement.

LG has confirmed through a blog post that it will be launching its next flagship smartphone, the LG G7 ThinQ at an event in NY on May 2, which will be followed by the launch in South Korea on May 3.

Moving on to the back, you see a dual camera setup, placed in the center.

As per the images, the LG G7 ThinQ will come in in Raspberry Rose, Moroccan Blue, Moroccan Blue (Matte), Platinum Grey, and Aurora Black color options.

It is to be expected that the LG G7 will be the most favourite smartphones of 2018. The Aurora Black will be the "default" color option. What also appears confirmed is the presence of a dual-camera setup at the back along with a dedicated fingerprint sensor. The first, which is located on the right side of the smartphone, is a dedicated power button, while two separate up and down volume buttons are present on the left side of the frame. The company has also confirmed that the smartphone will come with AI capabilities.

Previous reports have revealed that the LG G7 ThinQ is codenamed as LG Judy. The 6GB RAM variant of the phone could end up being called the LG G7 ThinQ Plus, but we're only guessing, anything is possible. It is likely to arrive with dual 16-megapixel camera lens with f/1.6 aperture.
