  • Spider-Man confirmed for a 2018 release on PS4

According to the Daily Star's James Wright, the release of Spider-Man comes about seven weeks prior to when the other game will be on the market.

The Digital Deluxe edition retails at a higher price of $79.99, including three new post-launch story chapters, dubbed "The City That Never Sleeps", featuring new missions, suits and characters.

The Spider-Man Collector's Edition includes everything from the Deluxe Edition, with some added bonuses. The statue has only been partially revealed as it includes spoilery content.

Along with great news, the company released a trailer for an exclusive story in it giving us a glimpse of in-game footage with Spidey in action.

Insomniac has given a rather blunt response to a fan querying when Spider-Man will be released on Xbox One via Twitter.

On a related note, you can pre-order the officially licensed Spider-Man White Spider hoodie based on his look in the game right here, right now for $59.99 with free shipping.

Along with the release date, we get to show you the final box art for Marvel's Spider-Man!

For further reading, Game Informer has two features on Spider-Man today: 114 rapid-fire questions about Spider-Man with creative director Bryan Intihar, and an interview with the man playing Spider-Man.

Meanwhile, the $149.99 physical Collector's Edition brings along all the content from the Digital Deluxe edition and adds on several more goodies. Between the Spider-Man acrobatics and the fun with the webs, it looks like there's a host of things Insomniac Games has come up with - including some classic Peter Parker one-liners.

Even after developer Insomniac Games showed off an extended gameplay segment at E3 2017 previous year, it was still unclear if the game would be ready before the end of 2018.

When a new villain threatens New York City, Peter Parker and Spider-Man's worlds collide.
