Sun to start Wednesday, isolated showers by afternoon

  • Afternoon rain today will bring an end to streak of 10 dry days

Highs in the upper 60s to lower 70s are likely.

Clouds will quickly return that night as a weak disturbance sneaks on through.

That leads us to Wednesday and what a day this will be!

Temperatures will be below normal today through the weekend with more chances of widespread snow possible Friday evening through Saturday morning. There is a chance for significant rain on Friday; however the models are trending further west with the heaviest rains.

Clouds got thicker all day Tuesday but highs were still able to make it into the 40s. The beaches will stay on the cooler side of things with highs only in the mid 50s.

"In addition to the snow and low pressure which will dominate the weather through the week, we have the right base for some potential thundersnow and hefty hail showers in places". Our skies will become mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers Monday and Tuesday.

The lower elevations will see generally light accumulations of snow as temps warm each day, but the high country will see some significant snowfall accumulations. Expect a few isolated showers early with lows in the upper 30s and lower 40s. Most of us are dry.

Happy Wednesday Kentucky! Rain showers are moving across the area this morning along with mild temperatures.

A cold front could bring showers late Wednesday afternoon through early Thursday, the National Weather Service office in Valley said.

FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy with the chance for a period of heavier rain in the afternoon. Unsettled? Yes. Washouts or big storms? No. Highs are in the lower 50s. We may see a more Pacific flow by the second week in April.
