Michelle Williams reportedly earned about 1 per cent of Mark Wahlberg's salary during reshoots for All the Money in the World.

But in actuality, Wahlberg, who plays Getty's advisor Fletcher Case, and his team negotiated a $1.5-million United States fee, while Williams, who plays the kidnapped grandson's mother, received less than $1,000, according to USA Today, which sources three people not authorized to speak publicly about it. Williams has yet to address the disparity and was unaware her co-star was being paid significantly more.

Williams told USA Today in December that she was willing to reshoot for nothing because she was excited by the changes.

The film famously underwent last-minute reshoots in November after Kevin Spacey, who originally starred as oil tycoon J Paul Getty, was at the centre of dozens of sexual misconduct allegations.

Scott managed to assemble his cast and crew on short notice during the Christmas period, successfully reshooting and re-editing the film in time to meet its original release date.

According to Forbes, Wahlberg was the highest paid actor in 2017, with annual earnings of approximately $68 million. NBC News was not able to confirm USA TODAY's report and did not receive a response from Wahlberg, Williams, or the agency that represents both of them, William Morris Endeavor.

Williams and Plummer were Golden Globes nominees for their performances.

Williams had told USA TODAY earlier, "I said I'd be wherever they needed me, whenever they needed me". The Post, citing sources close to the negotiations, reported then that Wahlberg was paid at least $2 million for approximately 10 days of work.

A report in USA Today claims Wahlberg's team negotiated the fee after studio officials made a decision to remove Kevin Spacey from the film following accusations of sexual misconduct.

SCOTT: "No, I wouldn't get paid, I refused to get paid".

Representatives for Wahlberg, Williams, WME, Sony, Imperative Entertainment, and Scott did not respond to USA Today's requests for comment. The finished film was set to be released in theaters on December 25. "Actors pay a team of agents, managers and lawyers an average of 10% of their salaries to advocate for them". That's business. Weird that no one told Michelle Williams, though.

Ridley Scott claimed in a recent interview that he did the reshoots for All the Money in the World for free as did the rest of the cast. "Because I appreciated so much that they were making this massive effort". Did they think this wouldn't come out?
