There has never been good relations between Donald Trump and the mainstream American Media.

After President Donald Trump tweeted that he would be announcing the "Most Dishonest and Corrupt Media Awards" on Monday, a few top late-night hosts made a decision to submit themselves for consideration for the year.

President Trump on Tuesday night claimed he will announce awards for the most "dishonest" and "corrupt" media of the year. "Stay tuned!" Trump said.

Set your smartphone alarms and refresh your RSS feeds appropriately, because Donald Trump will be excitedly announcing the nominees for his self-proclaimed "Dishonest & Corrupt Media Awards" on Monday evening.

The commander-in-chief tweeted last week they'd be given out Monday and "cover Dishonesty & Bad Reporting in various categories from the Fake News Media".

Trump frequently rails on the media and accuses reporters and networks of being "fake news".

The president vented in late November that a contest should be held for the worst political coverage, excluding Fox News.

Directing his words to Trump, he added: "Personally, I'm excited for your Dishonest & Corrupt Media Awards".

"The FAKE NEWS has utterly abandoned their duty to fairly report the news to the American people".

The Trump campaign further said that the Americans are exhausted of being lied to.

It said, "There's no point in pretending that some journalists are anything more than peddlers of falsehoods and liberal propaganda".

Thank President Trump for all his accomplishments during his first year in office.
