US Treasury's Mnuchin sent gift-wrapped box of horse manure

  • Robbie Strong posted this selfie on Facebook before delivering a boxful of horse manure to the U.S. secretary of the treasury's neighborhood in California

The supposed secret Santa who dropped a load of Christmas poo near Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin's posh Bel-Air pad said it represented the Trump administration's tax plan. Police said the package was marked as being from "the American people".

Apparently Mnuchin, who has not yet responded to BuzzFeed News' request for comment, was at home when the package arrived, and it was so suspicious that the bomb squad was called in to investigate. "A few years ago when [a Supreme Court ruling] said that corporations are persons and money equals free speech, that is so absurd and my rule of thumb is now that if corporations are free speech, then so is horses***t". No evacuations were ordered and the scene was cleared.

Reuters could not reach LAPD officials for comment on Sunday.

Los Angeles psychologist Robby Strong took credit for the stinker of a prank on Facebook by sharing a copy of the card he left with the special delivery Saturday.

Once police opened it and saw the horse poop, investigators deemed the package non-threatening, KTLA reported Saturday.

The LAPD told local media on Saturday that the Secret Service is taking over the investigation.

"I just got interviewed by the Secret Service and I've now joined some of my heroes like Timothy Leary and Martin Luther King", he told AL.com.
