  • Trump holds first White House Hanukkah party

But according to a spokeswoman for the first lady, the White House chose to go with a more intimate approach this year -inviting 300 attendees to celebrate the season.

President Donald Trump will undergo a physical examination early next year and allow doctors to release details of his medical evaluation, keeping with past precedent. Neither Trump is an attorney.

President Trump has scheduled a physical health exam for early next year at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and will share the results with the public, the White House announced Thursday, a day after Trump's slurred speech sparked concern about his health.

In a media briefing, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said speculation over the speech was "pretty ridiculous".

Near the end of his policy remarks Wednesday on Israel, Trump, 71, began having difficulty with words that included the letter "s", voicing some of them as "sh".

The White House said the president's throat was merely dry when he seemed to slur his words during a Wednesday address. "That will take place at Walter Reed, and those records will be released by the doctor following that".

"If elected, Mr. Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency", Trump's physician of 25 years, Dr. Harold Bornstein, said in a signed statement in December 2015.

It is the first time that the White House has committed to releasing health records of Trump, something his predecessors did routinely.

Trump shared his clean bill of health on Facebook, writing that he is "fortunate to have been blessed with great genes". "A lot of times these rooms are very hot, like saunas, and I guess that is a form of exercise and, you know?"
