  • New iOS 11.2 update brings Apple Pay Cash, fast wireless charging and tons of bug fixes

The new iOS 11.2 update is designed for the compatible devices including iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and other Apple devices starting from iPhone 5S or newer, 5th Gen iPad or newer and iPod touch 6th Gen.

We were expecting iOS 11.2 update to debut sometime in the third week of December, but it looks like Apple has changed its mind and has advanced the release.

One of the major issues that has been solved by iOS 11.2 is the December 2 date bug.

When Apple Pay Cash first rolls out to your device you'll see a pop-up in iMessage.

Apple Pay Cash is now available for iOS device owners in the US.

Apple Pay Cash will also be available on the watchOS 4.2 update once it hits the Apple Watch.

If there isn't enough money in your Apple Pay Cash account to cover a transaction your bank card kicks in to cover the rest. From there, tap the "+" icon located on the upper right of the screen and then type in the word "it" into both the Phrase and Shortcut fields.

Square Cash is another Apple Pay Cash rival. Basically, this means that if you have a third-party app installed that is set to regularly repeat a notification - such as an app to remind you of your schedule, or to encourage you to get active or track your food - you'll likely be affected by this issue.

In order to use the feature, you need to have two-factor authentication enabled, and you can then configure your Apple Pay Cash card in the Wallet app. Those who receive money through Apple Pay Cash can spend it through Apple's Wallet app or transfer the money to a linked bank account. The good news is that even if your primary Apple Pay card is a credit card, Apple Pay Cash defaults to using the debit card on file to help avoid that fee.

Unfortunately, there are some limits in sending and receiving money with Pay Cash. You can then choose what you want to do with the money once it is received. It's presently rolling out in phases to users of the latest iOS beta, so you may not immediately be able to try it. Of course, you can also withdraw the balance to the associated bank account.

You can send and receive cash with a minimum of $1 and a maximum amount of $3,000.
