Bills QB Taylor exits with knee injury

  • New England Patriots cornerback Malcolm Butler left and free safety Devin Mc Courty celebrate after a stop against the Buffalo Bills during the first quarter of an NFL football game at New Era Stadium in Orchard Park New Yor

He was first injured Sunday on the Bills' first offensive play, but he continued to play.

While fantasy players won't be rushing to add Peterman off the waiver wire-especially after his five-interception performance the last time he played-the injury could also impact the rest of the Bills offense.

Tyrod Taylor is certainly not the long-term answer, and it doesn't look like he's the short-term answer anymore either after getting carted off in the third quarter during a brutal game against the New England Patriots. The 28-year-old played through the injury before he was carted to the locker room early in the fourth quarter.

McDermott did not know Monday if Taylor would be able to play this Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts, but said, "when healthy, Tyrod is our quarterback". Nate Peterman entered the game as his replacement. Taylor had a total of 65 passing yards, and interception, and just 40 net yards in a little over 45 minutes of work. Taylor was benched prior to the team's Week 11 game against the Los Angeles Chargers before returning to the lineup for weeks 12 and 13.
