Guardiola approached Redmond moments after Raheem Sterling had scored a 96th-minute victor for the league leaders at Etihad Stadium.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has this afternoon passed comment on the FA's decision not to punish Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola for his recent antics during the Citizens' clash with Southampton. He has not been charged with misconduct at this stage.

"I told him I was doing what my manager had asked me to do in the game".

The incident in Germany that Guardiola referred to came moments after Bayern Munich's 1-1 draw against Borussia Dortmund in...

"I spoke with Oriol Romeu as well, with (Virgil) van Dijk and with my players as well". I say I am not surprised. I have to do that but I could not. "I have to do that, hopefully I can improve", he added. However, Redmond banished the reports along with claiming it as false news.

When the players were already heading to the locker room, Guardiola seemed to have a heated argument with midfielder Nathan Redmond. But they didn't want to play, they were time-wasting from the ninth minute.

"I explained what happened". If they want to listen to me then I will do it. What I said is what I said and what Nathan said in his statement. "It's not a problem".

Pep Guardiola's wild celebrations bled onto the pitch after Raheem Sterling's stoppage-time victor on Wednesday. Hojbjerg told Redmond such behaviour was not unusual and, if Guardiola liked a player, it did not matter whether they played for his side. I never judge and never will judge the way my opponents play against my team.

"I know Pellegrino wanted to win the game, definitely".

"[On Wednesday] he could not attack because they defend all the time, but that is what it is". I was friends with Mauricio in Barcelona. If people don't believe me, we should cancel our press conference.

"I can't manage the reaction of others. They can play both ways because they have unbelievable players".
