Netflix has renewed the thriller series on the heels of Stranger Things 2's debut just before Halloween, when it was watched by a third of the the streamer's United States subscribers. The brothers said to expect another time jump when we pick up with the new season, similar to that of Season 2's. Stranger Things is a Netflix production. "You can't start right after season two ended". The Emmy Award winning Stranger Things will be back in the future to continue the story of Eleven, the town of Hawkins, and the Upside Down. I believe they call this a "critical and commercial success".

Winona Ryder stars in the series, leading a cast of relative unknowns and playing the mother of the disappeared boy. The hit show returned this year and an estimated 15.8 million people tuned into to the premiere of season 2 within the first three days of its release. According to series creators Matt and Ross Duffer, the third season will be weirder and more character based. We can only write and produce the show so fast.

Last year, we had a lot of little cliffhangers at the end of the season. Even if we wanted it to be static and we wanted to continually recycle the same storyline - and we don't - we would be unable to, just because the kids are changing. That's what I'm excited about. "We're trying to figure out still how long it'll take to get there, so we'll see".
