  • Pink hangs off 34-storey building for crazy AMAs performance

Fans quickly took to Twitter once they noticed that Pink acknowledged the lucky individuals who had a close-up view as she not only sang, but executed graceful choreography from several stories up in the air on the side of the 34-floor JW Marriott hotel in downtown LA.

Moments after Jamie Foxx told the crowd gathered at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles that "2017 was a year that tested out faith" and that "we needed the power of music to help us heal", the two singers delivered a moving performance of R.E.M.'s "Everybody Hurts". Her mother, Diana Ross, is the night's Lifetime Achievement Award recipient.

In an Instagram video posted on Friday (17.11.17), she said: "I'm just afraid I'm going to get up there and be like, 'I don't know if I can do this.' I don't care about heights".

The two pop singers traded vocals on the song while images from recent natural disasters played on screens behind them.

The two singers had never met before the dress rehearsal but when they finally hit the AMAs stage at the beginning of the ceremony, their duet was flawless, wowing the audience and landing them a standing ovation.

Bruno Mars is the top contender at the AMAs. Julia Michaels is the only woman up for new artist of the year.

- Collaboration of the year: Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber, "Despacito".

- Tour of the year: Coldplay.

Nominees for favorite female pop/rock artist include Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Cara. Rihanna is also nominated for favourite female soul/R&B artist, where she will compete with Beyonce and Kehlani.
