  • Rainbow Six Siege Will Get Third Year of Support News Rainbow Six Siege Rainbow Six

Rainbow Six Siege year three will kick off a little differently than the previous two.

In the competition final on Sunday, Black Dragon faced off against Ence Esports.

Ubisoft had previously said it was hard to release new game modes that changed the core five-versus-five tactical gameplay of Rainbow Six Siege. In many cases, that single disheartening moment could have cost the entire series, but Ence somehow managed to claim that round, as well as the next three, taking the match to overtime. That work paid off, as Rainbow Six: Siege hit an astounding 20 million players in August. More details on Mission Outbreak will be revealed leading up to and during the Six Invitational 2018 that runs from February 13 to 18.

Year 3 is set to begin with Operation Chimera, which introduces two brand new operators as well as the Outbreak event.

Year 3-as with Year 1 and Year 2-will consist of four seasons, each including two new Operators.

It will start with Operation Chimera, which explores quarantine and biohazard threats with specialists from France and Russian Federation.

Operation White Noise arrives on Rainbow Six Siege's PTR later today, so Ubisoft has released a video overview of the new content to help you get to grips with it. The season pass for Year 3 will be made available from December 12, whilst the final season of Year 2 launches this week with Operation White Noise, featuring the Mok Myeok Tower map and three new operators. Season 4 returns to form with a Morocco map and two operators from the Moroccan GIGR.

Inspired by real-world counter-terrorist organizations, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege puts players in the middle of lethal close-quarter confrontations.
