  • A model has accused Russell Simmons of sexually assaulting her as a teen

Khalighi told the LA Times she begged Ratner for help but he just watched.

Ratner was on his way up in the music video industry and a protégé of Simmons, the Def Jam Recordings powerhouse.

Narrating how the incident unfolded, Khalighi said the record boss' friends brought her back to his apartment to show her a music video they were working.

Music mogul Russell Simmons is responding to new assault accusations detailed by the Los Angeles Times, against him and filmmaker Brett Ratner.

According to Khalighi, she looked to Ratner for help when the assault began and at that moment "the realization fell on me that they were in it together".

At that point she said she felt "disgusting" and went to take a shower. Simmons said "everything that occurred between Keri and me" was consensual. "I completely and unequivocally deny the horrendous allegations of non-consensual sex against me with every fiber of my being".

Ratner's lawyer told the LA Times that his client has "no recollection" of Khalighi asking for help against Simmons' moves.

"I'm really in very scary space if u have time", Simmons texted. Simmons reportedly had this to say.

"It hurt so much", Khalighi recalled.

Khalighi accused Simmons of trying to force her to have intercourse with him, but she "fought it wildly". "I was horrified, because she's a good, dear person".

Simmons released a statement today disputing the story. "Abusing women in any shape or form violates the very core of my being".

Simmons apologized a year ago while Ratner apologized 15 years ago. Two are anonymous, while the third is from Simmons' former assistant Anthony "Mac" McNair.

It was revealed on November 10 that in 2001, Ratner and Simmons were investigated for sexual battery after a woman filed a report.

Ratner's attorney defended the now-disgraced Hollywood film producer, who's stepped away from the upcoming "Wonder Woman" sequel, in a lengthy letter to the L.A. Times. "So I'm coming out because what I've experienced privately is not matching what they are saying publicly and hypocrisy to me is repugnant and it's time for the truth to come out".

Meanwhile, hours after Khalighi's story surfaced, actor Terry Crews who was sexually assaulted by an Hollywood agent in the presence of his wife called out Simmons for telling him to forgive his abuser. "I'm deeply saddened and truly shocked to learn of Keri's assertations as to what happened over the course of that weekend".

Ratner stands accused of varying degrees of predatory behavior by several actresses, including Natasha Henstridge, Jaime Ray Newman, Ellen Page, Katharine Towne, and Olivia Munn.
