World of Warcraft executive producer J. Allen Brack took to the stage to announce the vanilla server some fans have been clamoring for.

Battle for Azeroth will allow players to venture through the regions Zalandar and Kul Tiras in an effort to recruit allies for the war effort. This year it was World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth.

Each World of Warcraft expansion comes with new features, usually in the form of new dungeons and raids, a raised level cap, a new PvP map, and plenty of new sweet, sweet loot.

For those less keen to revisit the game's vanilla version, Blizzard also took the opportunity to reveal Battle For Azeroth, the game's seventh expansion pack. If a player creates and levels one a character of the new allied races all the way from 20 to 110, they'll be given unique armor sets called Heritage Armor. Now in development, classic servers will offer nostalgic WoW fans a chance to play through the original launch version of World of Warcraft, which dates back to 2005. Those who choose to play with PvP on will also get bonuses like extra experience, to reward their added risk. Based on what we know about Blizzard losing original game assets in the past, we aren't sure if he's joking. Welcome to World of Warcraft: Classic. When 2010's Cataclysm expansion debuted, it made further cuts that ensured new players would never truly be able to experience the same WoW that others did back in 2004.

First up, PvP servers are going away entirely.
