Blast in Balochistan's Chaman

Chaman Sajid Khan Mohmand was killed and at least seven were injured in result of the roadside blast in Boghra Chowk of Chaman, Balochistan today, reported Waqt News.

Emergency has been declared in the hospitals.

Injured have been shifted to Civil Hospital Chamman for medical treatment.

Three critically injured persons have been sent to Quetta for further treatment.

The blast took place on Boghra Road near the Levies Headquarter Office at Chaman area of Killa Abdullah district in Balochistan. The rescue teams rushed to the spot when two more IED exploded, killing two troops and injuring four others, officials said.


Balochistan Chief Minister Sanaullah Zehri has condemned the attack and expressed grief over the incident.

Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar has condemned the blast and asked the authorities to present report of explosion.

Security around the area has been tightened and security officials have cordoned off the site of the blast for investigations into the incident.

Taliban and other extremist militants also operate in the province, which shares borders with Afghanistan and Iran.
