In Pennsylvania, a man is behind bars for allegedly gunning down an 18-year-old driver in Chester County.

He was charged with first- and third-degree murder, possession of an instrument of crime and reckless endangering in the slaying of 18-year-old Bianca Roberson in West Goshen Township last Wednesday.

Following Roberson's death, Desper took off "like a bat out of hell", according to Hogan, who said police tracked the suspect fleeing the state across the DE border before he turned himself in this morning at around 2 a.m.

"It was senseless, brutal and tragic", said Joseph Gleason, West Goshen police chief.

He is being held at Chester County Prison without bail.

"She was a good girl - (an) honor roll student looking forward to going to college", said her father, Rodney Roberson. Fragments of a.40-caliber bullet consistent with being fired from a Smith and Wesson.40-caliber semi-automatic handgun were discovered.

She was driving southbound on the highway in the late afternoon when she merged into a lane at the same time as a pickup truck (pictured bottom left are the red pickup truck and Bianca's car).

Hogan said that a dented and faded red Chevy Silverado C1500, matching the physical description of the vehicle recorded in videos, was registered to Desper and recovered at 58 Huntington Farm Drive in Glen Mills. "And then when she saw the police she said she had this insane feeling".

Hogan spoke at a news conference Sunday morning where he told reporters that the suspect turned himself in.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact the West Goshen Police Department at 610-696-7400. The truck was registered to the suspect, and it was brought to Chester County for further checking.

Roberson, who was scheduled to start Jackson University in Florida in the fall, had just finished shopping for school supplies and was on her way home when the shooting occurred. Authorities say those images led to numerous tips from the public. They lost another child, a son, four years ago to heart disease.
